Please be aware that the primary focus of this portfolio is on back-end development work. However, I am also familiar with implementation of designs/design elements, have experience wire-framing user interfaces, and have what colleagues have called a natural eye for design.
The Water Park of America website is a Drupal 6.x / Ubercart 2.x website. Leveraging the power of Ubercart and several pre-existing and custom developed modules; this site offers apparel, gifts, giftcards, water park passes, and hotel rooms for sale and reservation online. Cron plays a big role, handling expiration of event listings and water park and room availabilities.

The Wirth Jobs website is a Drupal 5.x website that provides basic information about who the Wirth Companies are, an overview of the benefits package, and details of current employment opportunities throughout the company properties.
- Job listings can be searched by keyword or property
- RSS feeds provide most current property-level listings to each property website
- Job listings can be shared via social bookmarking tools or email
- Appropriate application forms are automatically attached to job listings based on property and job type
Custom e-commerce solution to provide online sale of water park passes. Initially implemented to handle pass sales for both the Grand Rios and Water Park of America, this has since been replaced with drupal/ubercart for the Water Park of America and only services the Grand Rios at this time.
Written entirely from scratch in PHP, this application interfaces with authorize.net for payment handling and is directly responsible for handling over $900,000 in sales.
- Any combination of available passes may be purchased at a given time
- Generates printable sale receipts for the customer and management use
- Generates printable list of daily sales for use at will-call
- Generates printable daily revenue report for use with accounting
